About Wire Mother

Widely hailed as the best all-psychology faculty band in Northeast Ohio, Wire Mother has skyrocketed in popularity since their first public performances in the spring of 2005.

Formed in Kent, OH, in late 2004, Wire Mother finds veteran session drummer Joel Hughes joined by guitarist/vocalist John Dunlosky (formerly of 'My Sinister Friend'), guitarist/vocalist John Updegraff (of 'Sirius & Dupree' fame), keyboardist/vocalist Patrick 'Keys' Palmieri, and singing sensations Katherine Rawson and Mary Beth Spitznagel.

Wire Mother's catalog escapes categorization: the band moves deftly from one modern musical idiom to another - from folk to punk, reggae to lounge - and crafts an indelible aural experience, one that is sure to leave the listener wanting more.  Or, at least, wanting them to hang on to their day jobs (in the Kent State Department of Psychology).

Black Squirrels Go NUTS for WiMo

The Black Squirrels go NUTS for WiMo

Usually, the Black Squirrels are just another Chipmunks tribute band, but on this EP they honor Wire Mother, one of their seminal influences, by covering some of WiMo's most beloved covers.
